Thank you so much to everyone who braved the show this year and made it down to the face painting tents. We all had a great time (although at times were a bit miserable to match the weather).
Thank you so much Belinda and Steve - without whom we wouldn't even be at the show. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your team and helping us to be better painters. Your efforts every year are extraordinary and I don't envy you guys one iota!
Thank you too to my brilliant team, Annemarie, Carol and Sally... your efforts at the show were amazing!
I hope you all had a stack of fun!

By the way, my phone will be back on sometime tomorrow.. I just have to find that charger....

There were people at the show today despite the wind and the rain - very brave!
I hope that you were able to have a fun day regardless of the elements and closures of some of the attractions.
A reminder that there is only 2 more days to go! Hooray for me! :O)
See you tomorrow!

There are only another 3 days left of the Royal Easter Show for 2009!!!
To all those who braved the wet to come out today... I hope you had a good day despite the wind and rain and didn't get too wet.
See you tomorrow - hopefully a drier, warmer day :O)

Today was quite eventful in that my bag was stolen with my wallet and phone in it.
If you would like to contact me regarding parties, please just send me an email as I won't be able to get a new phone until after the show. I will do my best to keep the same number, but will keep you posted if it needs to be changed.
Cheers

After a slow start today it turned out to be quite a grandeous day... full of more street parades and line dancers and there was even a miniture circus act! Just some of the sights you will see from a day in the face painting tent.
I'm sure that the weekend will hold more fun and exciting things.
Til then...

Today was a weird day. I was expecting it to be fairly quiet, but it was one of the busiest as far as the face painting tent was concerned.
Although the lines weren't super long, there was always someone waiting and a new face to paint. The flavour of this show is definately the Tiger Face. Although Butterflies are a big hit, the tiger has superceded Spiderman.
If you have any photos that you've taken that you would like me to put up here, please email them to me so you can show your family and friends.
Hope you had a great time today

We're half way there.. only 7 more sleeps for your chance to come and get your face painted at The Royal Easter Show 2009!
Today was fairly quiet and on the menu today were tigers and butterflies in abundance.
I painted a grandpa as a zombie skeleton - which was quite a contrast to his grand-daughters very feminine pink purple and sparkely butterfly.. what fun!
Don't forget.. under the big sky wheel is where you'll find me!

All the days are starting to blur now.. :O)
If you watched Kerrie-Anne today you probably saw me in the background as she was talking to Lindsay whatsie.. about food.
Today was a really lovely day at the show. There were less people which meant happier and more relaxed customers and it also meant no lines and that we could take a bit longer doing our faces. Thanks again to everyone who has come to visit us. It's been such a pleasure to paint you and have a bit of a chat.
If you havn't managed to get to the show yet.. there are still another 8 days left :O)
There's still time!

The show continues - despite the wet rainy weather.
If you were brave enough to come today you would have found that lines were a little shorter - though not by much.
Thanks to everyone who has come down so far to get their faces painted - especially to those who got it done in the pouring rain! I hope your faces lasted until you got home and that you weren't too soggy!
See you again tomorrow!

Today was another great busy day at the show.. full of marching bands, fun rides, street parades, the Easter Bunny... and long lines.
Thanks to all those who braved the lines and got their faces painted... I hope the wait was worth it and you were happy with your design.
I have switched locations and I'm now located underneath the large Ferris Wheel (near the corner of grand parade and showground road).
Have a very Happy Easter!

This is a version of the Princess. It's normally blue and purple, but this face and these colours were very specifically described to me by the subject :O)
Original design © Belinda Valentine

This is my butterfly in pink. It can be done in any colour and usually to match what you're wearing.
This was a beautiful creation out of my young nieces imagination

This another option for something small.

This is another stunning option for something small on the face.

These are the small butterflies that I do if someone wants to have a butterfly but not something over the whole face.. Original design © Belinda Valentine

This is the witch. Original design © Belinda Valentine.
I usually do this on the arm.. but can be anywhere really
Original design © Belinda Valentine
this is the adult cheetah that has a bit more detail.

This is a pink cat. Cats can be done in any colour you like. I don't normally do teeth on cats, but she wanted them.
I adapt the butterfly to co-ordinate with what you're wearing.. in this case, Aqua
This is the kid version of the cheetah face. It simply just has a little less detail than the adult version.
There is only 1 more sleep till the show starts.
Come on down and get your face painted. I'll be located right in between Kids World and Wold Bazaar.
Can't wait to see you there!
